It'd been over two years since the "School of Rock" transformed itself from a Summers-only terrestrial radio program into the flagship show of the SoR Radio catalog, and the old website had fallen into disrepair, having been abandoned in favor of the new all-encompassing SoR Radio page. But the Professor never forgot, and never gave up hope that one day, the old page would rise again, replete with its treasure-trove of photos and audio clips.
Ladies and Gentlemen, that day has arrived!
The School of Rock page is now a part of the SoR Radio website! It hasn't lost its distinctive flavor, however. The conversion is still underway (all the show clips still need to be updated to mobile-friendly formats), but the photo galleries have been dusted off, shined, and placed back on display, including all of the most recent "SoR in Vegas" photos!
Check out the new and improved site and, if you really just want to see the Vegas photos... that's ok too!

SoR Radio: Your right to ROCK!
October 15th, 2011: The School of Rock's Homecoming 2011 show.
Some of you may have already seen the notice on Facebook (which has since been taken down) about the show being cancelled from broadcast airwaves. This is, unfortunately, true. Here's what happened.
Things were a bit different this year in that we were on before the football game and (unknownst to us) were being played in every tent in the massive Rose Pond Alumni Village (the extended tailgating area for homecoming). This meant, however, that we being heard by a vastly different audience than would normally listen to the show.
Long-story short, people got offended at our particular style of broadcasting (slightly risque and noticeably liberal). We said nothing that violated any FCC or CMU rules or regulations, people just took exception to the content. And since many of those people were "big donors" to the university, there was no alternative but to ask us to step down from the broadcast airwaves as a way of responding to those offended folks.
While we understand that our show isn't for everyone, we do take exception to being told what we can and cannot say in terms of our views on the world. Therefore, as of today, we are returning to the Internet streaming that originally gave birth to the program. We will be on-stream for our Christmas Pageant in December (we haven't settled on a date yet, but watch this site or the Twitter feed for more information) and we will continue broadcasting/podcasting after that.
Thanks for the outpouring of support we've received over this, it's made a difficult situation easier to handle.
Look for the podcasts of the Homecoming show in a week or so, another podcast in November, and we'll see you online for the Christmas Pageant in December. -The School of Rock
On Tuesday, June 28th, the Madman paid a surprise visit to the WMHW studios, and the Professor caught it on film! Click this link to see it for yourself!
The School of Rock Theme!
Our theme is by a group called "Funktifyno," who unfortunately broke up in 2007. They
released their song "Funkberry Jam" under a Creative Commons license, and
The School of Rock would like to thank them for doing so, their music has become
an integral part of our program!
