1968: The MC5 record live tracks for their upcoming album at the Grande Ballroom in Detroit. The lyrics of the stage version of the single "Kick Out The Jams" are changed from "kick out the jams brothers and sisters" to "kick out the jams motherfuckers!", causing quite a stir among both teens and parents.

1955: Billboard reviews Little Richard's "Tutti Frutti" and calls it "cleverly styled novelty with nonsense words, rapid fire delivery." The record's hard-driving sound and wild lyrics not only became a model for future Little Richard songs, but also for Rock and Roll itself.

1984: Tina Turner's comeback album, "Private Dancer" is certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, and the single from it, "What's Love Got To Do With It" is certified Gold. The album peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 200 chart and the single reached #1 on the US singles chart as well as reaching #5 in the UK and the Top Ten in several other European countries.
