1985: NBC's Saturday Night Live features a Phoenix, Arizona band called Mr. Mister performing their recent Billboard number one hit "Broken Wings" and the newly released "Kyrie", which will also top the chart.
1986: The teaming of former Chicago bassist Peter Cetera with Gospel singer Amy Grant resulted in a Billboard number one smash, "The Next Time I Fall".
1964: The Zombies' debut single "She's Not There" tops the Cashbox Best Sellers chart. It reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #12 in the UK.
1961: Gene Chandler's "Duke of Earl" is released on Vee Jay Records. By the first week of February, 1962 it would reach number one in the US, on its way to selling over one million copies worldwide.
