1969: Blood, Sweat And Tears' first hit, "You've Made Me So Very Happy", tops out at number two on the Billboard Pop chart. They would have two more second place finishes with "Spinning Wheel" and "And When I Die", but never enjoyed a number one record on the Hot 100.

1965: Freddie And The Dreamers' "I'm Telling You Now" enters Billboard's Hot 100, where it will stay for eleven weeks, eventually climbing to #1 for two weeks starting April 10. It will be the biggest hit of the band's brief career.

1959: An American Bandstand viewer's poll lists 15 year old Fabian Forte as the Most Promising New Talent. The young man is currently enjoying success with "Turn Me Loose", which will crack the US Top 10 in April.
